Advance Valves at
ADIPEC, Abu Dhabi and Valve World Show, Maastricht
The ongoing developments
and capability enhancements at the Advance Valves R&D Unit were showcased
at two mega-events on an international scale. The focus was to come closer
to the groups international clientele and impress upon the successes
and the leaps that the group has taken lately.
ADIPEC 2004
The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference, was
held from October 10th to 13th at Abu Dhabi. This event is the hub of
oil & gas, and petrochemical business in the Middle East region inviting
participation from all over the globe obvious from the business potential
of the region. Advance Valves was rubbing shoulders with its associates
including the likes of ADNOC & its group companies, BP, Exxon Mobil,
Kuwait National Petroleum Company, PDO, Qatar Petroleum, Aramco, Shell,
Total among other prominent representations from the Engineering, Contracting,
Consolidators etc. Advances manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi
was the key interest of the market, recognizing the local manufacture
and support.
The Valve World Show
2004, like ADIPEC, is held every alternate year was on from 9th to 11th
November at Maastricht, Netherlands. The event was graced by the Valve
Gurus from all over the globe representing the intellect of the biggest
end users from various sectors like oil & gas, chemical, power &
process; the EPC organizations and other big names of the trade, who formed
the esteemed chairing committee as well. Valve World has long been an
international platform where piping and valve professionals update their
knowledge of valve applications and technologies in a variety of industries.
The participation from Advance Valves was widely appreciated as a unique
stall given the distinctly wide spectrum of products on display, from
the perspective of applications, metallurgy, huge sizes etc.

which Advance Valves was acknowledged across the board during these shows

Complementing its
range of Dual Plate Check Valves for cryogenic applications, Advance Valves
showcased its High Performance Metal Seated Butterfly Valve now available
for similar applications. Suitable for -196o C these valves have been
prototyped and proven suitable for cryogenic applications as per BS 6364.
These butterfly valves are of keen interest to the exploding LNG market,
air & oxygen users for liquefied air, among other petrochemical applications
for sub-zero temperatures.

New Valve Alliance
across the globe
During the events,
Advance Valves also launched its alliance with two other valve manufacturers.
Christened as Integrated Valve Technologies (IVT), this alliance formalizes
the coming together of Advance Valves from India, Durcon-Vice Valves from
Brazil and Gunric Valves from South Africa. IVT will pool all resources
in Marketing and Products, Engineering and Production to meet the varying
and new requirements of the market with a combined basket. Advance will
be the prime mover, utilising the latest internet technologies to network
both the IVT team and the Client.
On the whole, during the events Advance Valves impressed upon the industry
on its specialization and focus on valves for fire safe to cryogenic applications;
in materials from the basic steels, superior alloys to titanium; in large
size and high pressure ratings; with certifications like the CE, ISO &
API 6D (monogram expected very shortly).
